Playstation news time! (Playstation Showcase 5/24 in review)

Hey friends, I didn't have a chance to write anything last week because I unfortunately got sick with Covid, but I'm back this week, and I hope this will be a fun one! As of right now, it's only the 22nd of May, and there's a playstation showcase on the books for Wednesday, so this is a great way to get back into the swing after my first week off my pace in nearly 3 years. I really don't know what at all to expect to see here, though I'm assuming we won't see any more Final Fantasy XVI before it's release next month, especially since it got a lengthy segment during the last presentation a month ago or so. We may see something of Tekken 8 or perhaps some gameplay of the newly revealed Mortal Kombat 1 , though I would imagine that may be a little too hot off the presses, even though it's coming in September. I would love to see anything about Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 or Wolverine game, with Spider-Man 2 coming out later in the year with st

My beginning with the Legend of Zelda franchise! (The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in retrospect)

For my 10th birthday, my best friend gave me The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker . He had already played through the game (possibly more than once) and figured that I would like it too. He was already huge on the Legend of Zelda series, even getting the collector's edition disc (with the original game, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link , Ocarina of Time , and Majora's Mask ) as a preorder bonus for the game, so he had played significantly more games in the series than I had. At that point the only one that I had tried was the original for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and I wasn't super fond of its complete lack of waymarkers telling you how to get through. I don't know why my friend got this game for me, but I'm sure glad he did! This was my introduction to the 3D version of this iconic series, and though I had a rough start with it (the Forsaken Fortress really freaked me out as a kid), I played it to the end and absolutely loved it. To this day, I consider

What's new in the Valley? (Update on Disney Dreamlight Valley!)

Hey there, friends! It has been a few months since the most recent Animal Crossing -type game came out back in September, Disney Dreamlight Valley , and I've been playing it off and on since then, so I thought I would spend some time this week to catch up with some developments that have been made in this game! This probably won't be super long, but I just want to talk a bit about the cool things going on in the valley. Let's all nap under a big oak tree and head on back to Dreamlight Valley to help the residents out with getting more comfortable in their new homes! New Characters!     The makers of the game at Gameloft have added tons of new content since the game's launch, and I really appreciate it! Some of the characters have been more integral to the story than others, but some have just been nice to have around in the valley. Among the characters that have been added since launch, there's been Scar ( Lion King ), Olaf ( Frozen ), Mirabel ( Encanto ), Stit
