A Worthy Successor? (Switch 2 Review)

Image
Hey friends, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 really early on, and now that the console has been out about a month, I'm excited to share a little bit about how the console feels, and my impressions on the one Switch 2 game that I've been able to play so far, Mario Kart World . It has felt like a long wait, even though the system has only really been known about since February, but I'm glad that we're finally here and I hope that the games that are coming soon will be nice! The New (Old) Console!     The interesting thing about the Switch 2 is that this is the first console that I can remember Nintendo making where they didn't come up with a brand new concept. The NES to the SNES, they added a new controller with many new buttons, from there, we have the Nintendo 64, again with a bold and weird new controller that worked with 3D games while looking like a pitchfork. Back to game news! (Thoughts on Summer announcements!)

Hey friends! Long time no talk, I hope you're all doing alright! I told you a while ago that June was really packed this year, and so I missed a lot of news. Today I'm going to work on catching up with some of it here! I may just talk a bit about a few different things and then keep going for a few weeks as I do more research on exactly what I missed, because I'm sure there was a lot. I've been really busy, and I would like to share a little bit about all that I've been up to for the past month. I'm not going to say that I haven't been really busy at other times in my life, but I'm having a hard time remembering a month that has been quite as packed as this one! I hope you'll join me as I unpack my work and play times, beginning with a little trip up to the big apple. I'm a little tired!     June started with a bang as we boarded a plane with our group of 34 folks (24 students and 10 chaperones) and flew up to New York. While there, we learned a bit about our nation's history as we visited a few historical churches. St. Paul's, which was a church that George Washington attended many times and then much later, was used to house the first responders as they worked to clean up the situation after 9/11. Plymouth Church in ...
